Q: Is there a minimum age to join The Solo Man Cave? Yes. The minimum age to join is 18. Since the group is for single men, it would be expected that all members be of mature adult age.
Q: Are there any fees to be a member of the group? No. There are no membership fees required to be a member of this group. However, you must be referred by another member of the group, and that member’s number must be provided at the time of registration. (NOTE: If you found the group site by an internet search, please visit the About the Group page, and at the bottom of that page is one of the founder’s member numbers to use in your registration.)
Q: If I join the group, is my information safe and confidential? Yes. 100%! The registration simply provides verification of age, and basic contact information. It is never shared with other members (unless you, yourself share it with someone), and it is never sold or rented to any third party. At the time of registration, every member must read and accept the Code of Trust that is expected among all members of the group.
Q: Are there any requirements to participate in discussions or activities? No. Whether you are in a chat room, or whether you are meeting privately with members of the group at a local meeting, there is absolutely no expectations of you to talk about or do anything that you do not feel comfortable with.
Q: I understand that this is not a therapist or counseling group, but are there any restrictions to the subject matter that can be discussed? The only restriction is that which you place on yourself. Members of the group are open-minded, non-judgmental, and adhere to confidentiality of all things discussed. The floor is wide-open when you need to talk. Every member is an adult, so whatever you want to discuss, another member probably has or has had that same thought – this includes what one might consider extremely personal topics as well.
Q: If I know of someone interested in becoming a member, how do I refer them to the group? When you complete your registration, you will receive confirmation of approval within 24 hours of the registration. You will receive your membership information that includes your member number. Simply provide your member number to the person that you want to refer to the group. They will use that number to complete their registration.
